It has been a while since I posted but I’ve been busy working on the e-brake modification. The e-brake has, for some reason, been troublesome, from the handle hitting the cockpit aluminum to doing the modifications. But, in the end, I like the result. The modification changes the routing of the cables and, with a further modifications, keeps the new clevis from hitting the handle bracket. The full description is here and the photo album is here.
The modifications entailed: 1) extending the ratchet arm using pieces of 1/8” x 0.5” bar stock and 2) routing the cables above the 4” transverse round tube using pulleys (an idea from edwardb on the F5 forum).
