I continued to work on the front suspension yesterday, replacing the F5 bushings with the Breeze bushings. Unfortunately, the frame ear spacings still don’t exactly match the Breeze spacer lengths so I needed to work on finding a spacer to fill the gap (see the ‘Front suspension’ section for details). The supplied F5 washers are 1/8” and too thick for the job. I’ll go to a specialty store on Monday to get washers with the correct thickness or order two from McMaster-Carr.
I also got the ‘F panels’ drilled and de-burred as well as drilled the corresponding rivet holes in the frame. Although the manual says to rivet the F panels in place I see no reason to do so at this point. Plus, I’m still undecided as how to finish the panels.
